Gardenwood Resort celebrates two years under new ownership.

The first cabins were built by Vic and Helga Elmgren in 1937 and four more cabins were built back in the woods before WWII. The resort had always been yellow, so it was a big decision to change the color. We thought that our chosen dark red with the green accent blended in nicely with the tall trees on the property, giving the cabins more of a rustic feel and charm. Before renovations in 2009, cabins were built in 1937.
Cabin 1 before 2009 renovations, , cabins were built in 1937. Cabin 1, sleeps four people and has its own private fire pit with a view of Lake Superior. Cabin 3 before renovations in 2009, , cabins were built in 1937.
Cabin 3 sleeps 4 people.

Description: Gardenwood has come a long way since 2009. As we renovate we are keeping the resort’s 70 year history in the forefront. Come and stay with us for that “Up at the Cabin” experience on a Lake like no other.
