Look to enjoy some live music and theatre, grab a bite to eat or get in touch with your artistic side. As you chat with artists, listen to live music or make your own creation, there is always plenty of festival to experience at the Park Point Art Fair. Even though it is small, the event features juried artists displaying and selling work in medias such as clay, fiber, glass, painting, photography, jewelry, woodwork and sculpture. Artist demonstrations offer a closer look at forming hot glass, wood turning and other processes. There is a performance area featuring live music, storytelling and puppet theatre. The food tent is located adjacent to the live performance area stage and children’s art activities area. Great food, great art, with a great lake view, what more could you ask for during a day at the beach?

Family Art Activity Area:
You are invited to celebrate art. Grab some drift wood and some fasteners and make a beach mobile or a piece of paper, some feathers and glue, maybe some shiny happy sparkly glitter. Put it together and see what your creative side comes up with.

Featured Musician for 2011: Michael Monroe
From vinyl to digital, Michael Monroe is now in his fourth decade of performing nationally in concert, festival, corporate and educational settings. His unique creation of music leaves his audiences mesmerized as he blends his rich vocals, guitar, bamboo and glass flutes, combining musical styles of acoustic folk, and jazzy reggae. Michael’s original music and compelling energy bring a powerful style that is as much fun as it is innovative: music and technology working together powered by creativity.

This event raises money that the Community Club uses to support the ever popular summer youth program! The proceeds also support environmental projects like the preservation of the Minnesota Pine Forest, dune restoration and tree plantings.
