Duluth’s Annual Park Point Art Fair – June 8 & 9, 2012
The fair features the fine art and craft of premiere artists from the local area, upper Midwest and beyond. It also offers live performances, music, food, children’s activities and more—all in Duluth’s natural setting of Lake Superior. The show is held on Park Point, a small park at the far end of a barrier island on Lake Superior. The white tents are all set up near the end of the Point.

Grandma’s Marathon – June 16, 2012
Grandma’s Marathon is a point-to-point course run on scenic Old Highway 61 along the beautiful north shore of Lake Superior. The race begins just outside of Two Harbors, Minnesota and finishes in Duluth’s Canal Park. Gardenwood Resort is 2 blocks from the half-way point of the race. Spectators can enjoy the race from the resort, and half-marathoner’s can warm up on the way to the starting line!

Duluth Fourth Fest – July 4th
Watching July 4th fireworks over Lake Superior is a classic Duluth event. Bayfront Festival Park gates open at 12 noon with food and craft vendors. The bands begin on stage at 2 pm and play continuously throughout the day. The festivities close with the fireworks display at 10:10 pm.

Bayfront Blues Fest – August 10, 11 & 12, 2012
Winner of the 2004 Blues Foundations Keeping the Blues Alive award, The Annual Bayfront Blues Festival is held in the City of Duluth’s Bayfront Festival Park on the harbor shores of Lake Superior in downtown Duluth. This event features over 30 performances over three days and also showcases live music at over a dozen clubs in the area each evening.

North Shore Inline Marathon – September 15, 2012

The largest inline marathon in North America! Following the same scenic course Grandma’s marathoners. Gardenwood Resort is 2 blocks from the half-way point of the race. Spectators can enjoy the race from the resort, and half-marathoner’s can skate to the starting line!
